Walking Wounded Rising hurts. Because... Naldha Alves

Walking Wounded
Rising hurts.
Because before we can begin again, we must survive what broke us.
And almost no one sees the days when the soul screams, yet the body goes on.
Everyone sees the smile that has returned…
But no one was there when it was lost.
It’s hard to explain what it’s like to walk wounded, trying to appear whole.
It is lonely to have to be strong when everything inside us cries out for refuge.
Starting over is not about courage.
It’s about having no other choice.
And deep down, we learn:
it’s not always about wanting.
Sometimes, it’s simply about not being able to stop.
