Until Us
From every root that intertwines,
stories, voices, embraces arise.
Centuries of footsteps echo in earth,
lives that converge, nothing dispersed.
Parents, grandparents, great-grandparents in chain,
a human river that flows and remains.
In blood, memories, in eyes, inheritance,
we are the fruit of long endurance.
And until us, millions came,
with dreams, struggles, songs aflame.
Each existence left its trace,
that now blossoms in our space.
